Courses
Deborah teaches this one day course on making dichroic glass jewellery from her cottage in Shropshire. She is a qualified teacher and, in the interests of safety and clarity, teaches no more than three pupils at a time. The course is accompanied by comprehensive written guidelines, including a list of essential tools for making fused glass jewellery, and a list of suppliers of materials.
Dichroic Glass Jewellery Course
Comprises
- Health and Safety
- Properties of Dichroic Glass – before and after fusing
- Properties of Bullseye glass
- Glass cutting and cleaning
- Construction in kiln
- Use of kiln for glass jewellery
- Applying attachments
- Basic beading
In the afternoon, pupils are free to look through samples and experiment with their own ideas. Any items made can be sent safely by post after the course is finished.
Cost of one day course £100 for one-to-one tuition and £80 per person for two or three people. This includes findings and glue, however post and packaging is extra.
Course includes all materials and one sterling silver Talyx Art Glass bail
